Dark Orbit's Storyline

During the third century there were a number of revolutions on our home planet Earth -- not only the climate changed drastically, the earth itself changed slowly but surely.

Thanks to a warm period between two ice ages, the human race, which settled the earth over millions of years, was able to develop and establish a dominance over the planet.

Because of the change in climate, living space for the highly developed species known as mankind decreased, so researchers looked for other survival possibilities. It was only logical to look toward the heavens and turn their thoughts to conquering the depths of space.

They found raw materials in abundance here and so the nations settled on distant planets -- and adapted to the conditions of their new worlds without any major problems.

But even here, the survival of the fittest was a law which could not be ignored. As the centuries passed, powerful companies developed an active mining and trade industry with these new raw materials: a robber economy of three companies which has already led to bottlenecks in the supply of energy.

As a result, these three powerful companies have been fighting a bitter struggle for centuries around the precious resources in space -- the legendary battles which you heard about during your training to become a space pilot.

The capture and exploration of unknown worlds and bizarre phenomena in foreign galaxies have always fascinated you - you want to be a part of it -- it's like a mission to you! You graduated as best in your class at the Space Academy.

And now the time has come - as a young space pilot you will be sent into the depths of space and your mission is to search for new raw materials for your company -- because that is the only way they will be able to maintain their dominance in the war for power, energy, and raw materials!

It happens to me that I played back Dark Orbit as it's a casual leveling game in my opinion based on spaceship PvPs and clan wars. So there, previous entry of my Dark Orbit was nicknamed MY.RollsRoyce which was prompted by the system to use another nick so came to my RoyceZz into play. Alright, last time I was just testing Dark Orbit okay...

So far so good I'm just leveling around 5 to 10 and maybe consider a quit of the game. Cause it lacks players and well to be honest many may criticize it as a lousy game. But for me, I treat nearly most games as equals due to their efforts of creation.

Try to play this game if you like spaceships and Star Wars lookalike X-Wing troop ships and such.

Devolarium Boss spaceship encounter

Devolarium are the lowest level of capitol alien ships. These large ships resemble huge green space logs. For lower and medium experienced fighters, these offer great rewards at a high price. Because of their relatively high HP, shields and damage, it is recommended that these be attacked in teams for lower players. - http://darkorbit.wikia.com/

RoyceZz's spaceship upgraded to Piranha and reached level 7

The Piranha is a decent ship, and a nice step up from the Phoenix or even the Yamato. It is not exactly worth 80000 cred though, considering you can get double the hp on a Nostromo. The piranha is a decent ship for players from level 3-5. Above that the Piranha isn't worth it.

The Nostromo is the first ship that approaches a decent balance of lasers and shield capacity. This comes at a good cost of purchase. This ship may be a good upgrade to the smaller craft since it is a guaranteed purchase where the Vengeance is not (in Trade.) It has the same HP as the Leonou with increased shield capacity and 6 lasers.

Nostromos with 2 drones I bought lately which is fairly expensive battling NPC Mordon.

Mordons are very slow alien ships that that provide good cargo and EP for mid to lower level players. These cylindrical shaped ships have slow spinning blades on their exterior. Their slow speed makes them easy to avoid being hit by them but also makes you vulnerable to the other faster aliens on the map if you cannot kill the Mordon quickly.

The Bigboy is the first Battlecruiser size ship. It has decent HP and the highest shield capacity available.
