BR1M 2015

Well, hello guys! It's 2015. Been a while I have blogged actively from 2007 until late 2011. But once in a while, you can surf back and see something special for you and everyone out there. So, first post of this year would be regarding BR1M. A sponsored funding to be paid for Malaysia citizens to get that "extra money" in hand if you are eligible.

Likewise, I am waiting for my very own RM350! I have once received the BR1M Cash Voucher worth RM250 which is meant to be spent at Popular , Sky book stores. I was able to get several cook books , headphones and etc. So what have you gotten with? This is different.

I am competing for this RM350 as it is different from the past cash voucher RM250 worth for college and university students. I have registered anyway so it is almost time for distribution by one weeks plus from now on.

QUESTION!

How would you spend it? I have many ideas for those who received RM350 regarding using it and also saving. It is based on 2015's new product and things you would like or skip for savings to your account! Each choices vary based on your taste.

15 WAYS OF SPENDING BR1M 2015

1. Buy Nokia 215 (RM102.60 valued phone)

2. Spent RM50 for mobile phone reloads to communicate with anyone!

3. Bank in RM300 to your CIMB , Public , Maybank etc and use RM50 for personal monthly use

4. Buy 20 packs of Fried Instant Noodle

5. Do hair and facial treatment using around RM95

6. Buy Grand Theft Auto V (PC Edition) as long you own a gaming rig worth RM1999 for playability

7. Invest in medicines or pills around RM100 to prevent sickness (coughs , flus , stomaches , fever , minor symptoms to relieve a better life)

8. Buy Mi Band worth RM59 (Good for balancing healthy lifestyle, tracks your daily health statistics)

9. Buy Battlefield : Hardline (PC Edition) for awesome PC gaming excitement

10. Purchase Chinese New Year clothings through Lelong , Mudah.my

11. Donate RM50 to churches and temples separately as good faith

12. Spend a certain amount to treat your family or loved ones to western foods or Japanese cuisine!

13. Create a DIY shirt or dress costing around RM70

14. Spend RM150 for hair colorings or nail treatment (females only)

15. Keep RM350 to your bank so you can take it out anytime to use! For ANYTHING within 3 to 4 months

So, I hope this gives you an idea how to spend the "extra money" as relief to us young adults out there! And also find a stable job to boost em' up.

Korean BBQ Chicken

BBQ Chicken is Korean’s No. 1 Chicken Restaurant

It’s not barbeque, it’s BBQ (BEST OF THE BEST QUALITY)!

Genesis Co. Ltd was established in September 1995 with just 1 brand – BBQ Chicken.
Genesis has since introduced 10 brands with more than 3000 stores, growing as the best and largest dining franchise company in Korea.

BBQ Chicken has now grown to be the No.1 Franchise brand in Korea with more than 2500 stores in South Korea and achieved the 1st franchise company to be selected as Korea’s top 100 brands.

So I went to this area which is located at Kubah Ria. Not so hard to find and I went with one girl partner of mine. I tried and I could say they need more improvement. The BBQ chicken though is delicious and juicy as it's tender. Overall, have a try!

Kolo Mee Special

I had this Kolo Mee Special recently at Oriental Park as advertised by Kuching Food Critics group in Facebook. It is also recommended and supported by the noodle lovers as well. I am very sure each of us are curious of it's location.

The stall is quite small but packs delicious Kolo Mee's indeed. It is behind the row of shophouses near Open Air Market. You will notice a small route or road with snacks and drinks that's sold. Once you reach the other end, you'll see Super Save store. Take a look around! Your there.

My spendings would be less than RM6 when visiting and it's worth it. It's like an adventure for food. Do remember to drop some comment once you reached there!

OpenRice

Initially launched for Hong Kong (with the Traditional Chinese version only) in 1999, the English version was later introduced to accommodate the increasing demand from non-Chinese-speaking Hong Kongers and foreign residents in Hong Kong. As of July 2012, the Hong Kong website alone has approximately 40,000 recorded restaurants, 530,000 registered diners and over 572,000 ratings and comments.

I was surprised to work as a temporary restaurant surveyor under them. I was glad that I was able to and the salary pay is good as it's survey per few ringgits! Off to work. Remember to enjoy their dining guide and directories, I'm filling up Sarawakian section with my iPhone 4 picture taking to make sure it looks good on the website.

Lot 10 Cafe

It's been a while since I posted foods and this one is specifically from Lot 10 Cafe , CityOne Shopping Mall in Kuching city. What they offer? Basically, they offer instant noodles, burgers , fast food corners and etc. I ordered the foods and most of them are extraordinary cheap! This is by far the cheapest cafe at the mall itself and is located at the basement carpark sector.

Remember to drop by and have some fast meals. I liked how they cooked the instant noodle and would like to ask for two packets next time. They offer lots of drinks as well as a water refill machine. So there you have it!

May Feast

This is the recent dinner I took around The Spring , Brighton Square! Most of the time, I frequent shopping malls after my classes at Swinburne as long the time is flexible enough to visit. I do enjoy most of this foods with at least one friend or sometimes alone. Since I met many new arcade gamers from Wangan Midnight, most of them are friendly and I hope to see them most of the time as the pros of the game always puts good challenge. Wangan King to be precise is a title for those who dominate a map. My car did achieved Wangan King title before it was overtaken. So skip all the stuff I mentioned, I enjoy foods and gaming literally. Due to my in in-activeness, I decided to post more of my awesome life that I can cherish with readers alike. And I hope I can spend more time with someone special in future again regardless friends, partner or so.

Winter Solstice KFC

This year around, I'll be celebrating the upcoming Christmas with either staying at home or just waiting for my friend's call. Last year, my sweet moments with the special and very first love celebrating with me is for now drifting apart from my life. I don't really seem happy about that too. So this is how one chapter goes to another new beginning! We must learn to treasure the sweet moments as a partner. Learn from it and grow to be better than the wrong things made in the past.

Hainanese Legacy

Mr.Ho’s version of the traditional favorites’ indeed is a tagline that aptly describes the new dish served in Hainanese Legacy. After venturing into his very own version of the Hainanese Chicken Rice quite some time ago, customers can now indulge in one of Mr Ho’s fine Asian cuisines, the Bak Kut Teh.

What makes the Bak Kut Teh stand out among other Bak Kut Tehs according to Mr Ho is the tender texture of the meat, the original and natural flavour of the soup with premium spices as well as the quality of the fragrant rice that is served along with the main dish.

The quality of the ingredients to produce the delicious flavour of the dish are important and as such, Ho is extremely careful with the quality of its mixture of porks, herbs as well as soya sauce.

“Consistency along with the fine tuning of the mixture of the ingredients is a challenge in developing the right taste and texture of the food,” Ho stressed.

Hence Ho himself takes on the task of personally cooking this dish in order for his customers to taste the very best of the Bak Kut Teh. Like the Hainanese Chicken Rice, the Bak Kut Teh is made daily, promising its fresh quality to its customers.

Ho had mastered the art of preparing the dish from the ‘sifu’ of Bak Kut Teh himself three years ago, a local chef from Klang, a region well-known for its Bak Kut Teh delicacies.

Served in a bowl rather than in a claypot, Ho stated that the old school serving in the bowl locks in the natural flavour of the dish. Ho took pride in the history of Bak Kut Teh, noting the humble history of the dish and how it evolved from a meagre diet of underprivileged to the well-known platter for the masses.

Hence, in addition to preserving the natural taste of the food itself, preserving the culture as well as the authenticity of the Bak Kut Teh became the main motivation for Mr Ho’s Bak Kut Teh.

The Bak Kut Teh is reasonably priced at a price tag of RM9 per bowl and is inclusive of a separate bowl of rice. Customers can choose between pork ribs, pork belly, pork shoulder or a combination of all three in one.

Apart from that, customers can have a variety of other side dishes that are also reasonably priced such as bean sprouts, lettuce oyster sauce and many others to complement the main dish.

Since the launch of the Bak Kut Teh on May 1, customers have left feeling satisfied, as noted by Mr Ho and thus, word of mouth plays a critical role in keeping the brand name alive.

For further enquiries regarding reservations and the dishes served at Hainanese Legacy, contact Mr Ho at 082-332812. The restaurant opens from 10.30am onwards on weekdays and 10am onwards on weekends.

Ham Baked Scarface

I went to Dessert Paradise once again with my girlfriend. Ordered the pasta which looks very tasty as you can see below. It costed RM9.80 and the portion is normal. Don't judge the looks you see as it's a splendid pasta you could ever eat! Maximum 2 person to share the dish around or otherwise enjoy it by solo-ing this pasta. I must say, it's pretty sweet in taste with all the spices , sauces and wonderful aroma. I'll visit this restaurant from time to time. A good place to recommend in Sarawak, Jalan Song which is the same shoplot near Starbucks.
