Dark Orbit's Storyline

During the third century there were a number of revolutions on our home planet Earth -- not only the climate changed drastically, the earth itself changed slowly but surely.

Thanks to a warm period between two ice ages, the human race, which settled the earth over millions of years, was able to develop and establish a dominance over the planet.

Because of the change in climate, living space for the highly developed species known as mankind decreased, so researchers looked for other survival possibilities. It was only logical to look toward the heavens and turn their thoughts to conquering the depths of space.

They found raw materials in abundance here and so the nations settled on distant planets -- and adapted to the conditions of their new worlds without any major problems.

But even here, the survival of the fittest was a law which could not be ignored. As the centuries passed, powerful companies developed an active mining and trade industry with these new raw materials: a robber economy of three companies which has already led to bottlenecks in the supply of energy.

As a result, these three powerful companies have been fighting a bitter struggle for centuries around the precious resources in space -- the legendary battles which you heard about during your training to become a space pilot.

The capture and exploration of unknown worlds and bizarre phenomena in foreign galaxies have always fascinated you - you want to be a part of it -- it's like a mission to you! You graduated as best in your class at the Space Academy.

And now the time has come - as a young space pilot you will be sent into the depths of space and your mission is to search for new raw materials for your company -- because that is the only way they will be able to maintain their dominance in the war for power, energy, and raw materials!

RoyceZz adventure through solar space and chosed EIC faction between 3 factions VRU , EIC and MMO.

It happens to me that I played back Dark Orbit as it's a casual leveling game in my opinion based on spaceship PvPs and clan wars. So there, previous entry of my Dark Orbit was nicknamed MY.RollsRoyce which was prompted by the system to use another nick so came to my RoyceZz into play. Alright, last time I was just testing Dark Orbit okay...

So far so good I'm just leveling around 5 to 10 and maybe consider a quit of the game. Cause it lacks players and well to be honest many may criticize it as a lousy game. But for me, I treat nearly most games as equals due to their efforts of creation.

Try to play this game if you like spaceships and Star Wars lookalike X-Wing troop ships and such.

Devolarium Boss spaceship encounter

Devolarium are the lowest level of capitol alien ships. These large ships resemble huge green space logs. For lower and medium experienced fighters, these offer great rewards at a high price. Because of their relatively high HP, shields and damage, it is recommended that these be attacked in teams for lower players. - http://darkorbit.wikia.com/

RoyceZz's spaceship upgraded to Piranha and reached level 7

The Piranha is a decent ship, and a nice step up from the Phoenix or even the Yamato. It is not exactly worth 80000 cred though, considering you can get double the hp on a Nostromo. The piranha is a decent ship for players from level 3-5. Above that the Piranha isn't worth it.

The Nostromo is the first ship that approaches a decent balance of lasers and shield capacity. This comes at a good cost of purchase. This ship may be a good upgrade to the smaller craft since it is a guaranteed purchase where the Vengeance is not (in Trade.) It has the same HP as the Leonou with increased shield capacity and 6 lasers.

Nostromos with 2 drones I bought lately which is fairly expensive battling NPC Mordon.

Mordons are very slow alien ships that that provide good cargo and EP for mid to lower level players. These cylindrical shaped ships have slow spinning blades on their exterior. Their slow speed makes them easy to avoid being hit by them but also makes you vulnerable to the other faster aliens on the map if you cannot kill the Mordon quickly.

The strongest ship Big Boy purchased without premium cash by RoyceZz upgraded!

The Bigboy is the first Battlecruiser size ship. It has decent HP and the highest shield capacity available.

Storm Warriors

Ekin Cheng and Aaron Kwok is reprising their roles as Wind and Cloud respectively in the comic-adapted "The Storm Warriors", the sequel to the ever popular "The Storm Riders" 11 years ago. Evil Japanese warlord, Lord Godless (Simon Yam) is intent on conquering China. In an effort to succeed, he imprisons all of the Chinese martial artists and attempts to make them subjugate. Amongst the prisoners are Cloud (Aaron Kwok) and the martial arts elder statesman, Nameless (Kenny Ho). Thankfully, Wind (Ekin Cheng) comes to the rescue, but all three are badly wounded during the battle to escape. Chu Chu (Tang Yan) also shows up and takes a direct strike from Lord Godless when she jumps in to save Cloud. The remaining martial artists sacrifice their lives to save the trio as they believe they are the only hope to beat Lord Godless and save the country.

RoyceZz's Rating

Storyline : 4/10
The movie lacks much story telling concept and focus way too much on actions and CGI effects which kinda covers up what is actually told in the comic book series. More plot should be revised if to make a better movie in my opinion like where the Japanese Invasion arc was straight to the point where Wind and Cloud was captured alongside their people. What should be foretold should be how the heck did Lord Godless capture them? At midnight? That's the thing about the movie plothole and lesser dialogues were presented.

Effects : 8/10
The CGIs used in this movie is more comparable than of the 300 movie in the past. Sword and magical skills that Wind and Cloud possess has been shown with remarkable 3D special effects that look so real that it looks so devastating towards opponents like Lord Godless.

Sounds : 7/10
The voice acting was overall fine and there's not much to complain except less conversations between the heroes and heroines in the movie.

Theme : 7.5/10
Battle scenes with Lord Godless , Wind and so on are done pretty well. You can see satisfying martial arts blended within the fights.

Overall : 6/10
Could have been better with more added storyline content and to hope Storm Warriors III will have a better comeback sequel with the most anticipated villain Duen Long.

Happy Birthday

Chris's birthday party invitation was sent to me lately. He invited at least 20 above people including relatives and friends partially from Swinburne to celebrate. Had three rounds of food consisting of noodles , sausages and chicken nuggets. The birthday cakes include jelly cake , cheesecakes and finally Sushi Cake ! Went to Starbucks at Jalan Song for a friend gathering before going back home around 11 PM starting from 6PM sharp. So that concludes two events as for holiday break.

SMM 2009 Pre-Tournament Scrimmage

It is two days to SMM Grand Finals and myMYM has arrived on the scene to provide you with the best coverage of this tournament. Battle of the East and the West. Are you ready?

The SMM Grand National DotA Tournament 2009 will be the biggest DotA event in history. This year, SGNDT will be held in the historic town of Malacca from the 27th to the 29th of November and the location for this event will be at A'Famosa Resort.

With prizes pooling up to a total of 18,000 Euros, this tournament has attracted the best of the East and the West as they pit against each other for pride and honour. Besides providing such huge prizes, SMM is generous enough to provide discounted stay and food for all the players and media throughout the tournament period.

UPDATES from the scrim:

17.00: In order to make some use of the free time MYM and EHOME decided to play some scrim which ended with a loss for MYM - final result: MYM 1:3 EHOME.

18.30: After cD arrives, EHOME went to have a smoke break. Thus MYM & cD had a scrim together. Game 1 finished: MYM 1:0 cD.

19.00: Everyone went for dinner; they'll be back around 8pm local time (2 hours later). Stay tuned for more action. All replays will not be released as the teams do not want them to be uploaded.

20.00: Media team got destroyed by MCiTY.

23.09: Starsboba has won the Chinese giant two games in a row while PokerIdol struggled against cD in game 1. Game 2 is now in progress.

23.26: cD won the second game against PokerIdol.

23:28: PokerIdol and cD game 3 now in progress.

23.30: MCiTY will be scrimming against XtC now.

23.38: The organizers have dimmed the lights and it is a whole new look in the tournament area now. Head over to our gallery for pictures of how it looks like.

23.59: Lakuci and Koala has just arrived.

00.08: PokerIdol third game against cD will be cancelled due to BSOD.

00.16: MCiTY push strat is victorious against XtC.

00.32: Another BSOD occured in PokerIdol and cD game and the game is cancelled again.
